Giving

Thank you for choosing to invest in the future of a child. Your support will assist over 600 children each year to grow in an environment that promotes academic and athletic excellence, responsible citizenship, exceptional character, and full self-expression. Gene Slay’s Girls & Boys Club of St. Louis is making a permanent and positive change in the life of each child it serves. Every member has the potential for a bright future; Gene Slay’s Girls & Boys Club programs support that future and continue to produce young people of integrity to serve our community.

Your contribution provides general operating support for the following:
$2,800 – Sponsor one youth for a year in all program components at the Club
$2,500 – Provides tutoring and academic support to pave the way to high school graduation for five youth per year
$1,000 – Provides programs: recreation, character building, sports, and health for eight youth for a year
$500 – Assists the Club with maintaining the gym, pool, athletic fields, library, and art room
$100 – Assist the Club with much-needed academic, art, athletic, and health supplies
$80 – Covers what one youth pays for Club membership annually

Ways to Give

AmazonSmile

Missouri Youth Opportunity Tax Credit Program (YOP)

YOP tax credits allow individuals and corporations to maximize gifts to Gene Slay’s Girls & Boys Club of St. Louis. In addition to your state and federal deductions for charitable gifts, eligible donors will receive a 50% Missouri tax credit for your gift of $1,000 or more. The tax credit application is easy to complete. GSGBC staff will assist you with filling out the form. Return the application with a copy of your canceled check and we will do the rest. The state of Missouri will send you a tax credit voucher that can be used for year of donation with a five year carry forward. Certain project costs have been underwritten by the MO Department of Economic Development, Youth Opportunities Program.

Give Stock

Donating shares of appreciated stock gives you two additional benefits for your generosity: a tax deduction for the total value of your gift, and no capital gains tax on the additional money you made from the appreciation of the stock (YOP eligible). Plus, your contribution has a value to Gene Slay’s Girls & Boys Club now that is far greater than the price you paid for the stock originally.

Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship. The GSGBC Pillar Society celebrates this journey by bringing our philanthropic supporters and our youth together to promote the life-long learning and character development presented at the Club on a daily basis.
